Terms of Service

These terms are the agreement between you and the team that runs Live Face Swap at live-face-swap.app ("we", "us"). By using the site you accept them and our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.

What the site does

Live Face Swap swaps faces in live video. You turn on your camera in the browser, choose a reference face, and an AI model replaces your face with it in real time; the video goes to the model and comes straight back to your screen. We don't record it. Everything you see in the output is made by AI: it is synthetic video, not a real recording of the person whose face appears. The swap can lag, flicker, slip off at sharp angles or in poor light, and won't always look like the reference face.

Access and credits

A live swap needs an account with credits: one credit per second, counted by the face-swap provider while the swap runs, with a part of a second counted as a whole one. There is no free trial. Each session can run as long as your balance allows (up to 30 minutes at a time) and stops by itself when it reaches that limit. A swap that never shows a picture and stops within its first seconds is not charged (up to five times a day).

Credits are not on sale yet, so the live swap is not open to the public. You can look around the tool and turn on your camera preview; starting a swap asks you to sign in and, without credits, offers to email you when it opens. We will update these terms before credits go on sale.

Your account

Keep your sign-in details private; you are responsible for anything done through your account. One account per person. Tell us right away if you think someone else has used it.

Whose face you may use

• As the reference face, use only your own face, a face from the site's ready-made set, or the face of someone who has clearly agreed to it.
• Never use the face of a real person without their consent — that includes celebrities, public figures, people you know and people you found online.
• Nobody under 18 may be on camera or in a reference photo.

You keep all rights to photos you upload. You let your browser pass them to our face-swap provider only to run the swaps you start; we don't store them ourselves (see the Privacy Policy).

What the live swap must not be used for

• Pretending to be someone else, or letting viewers believe they are seeing a real person when they are not — on video calls, live streams, recordings or anywhere else.
• Fraud or deception of any kind: scams, fake identity checks, getting around face verification or KYC, misleading anyone for money or advantage.
• Sexual or nude content of any kind, and anything that shows a real person in a sexual, humiliating or harmful way.
• Harassment, bullying, threats, defamation, hate, or political disinformation.
• Anything else that is illegal where you or we are, or that breaks another person's rights in their likeness, privacy or image.

If you show, stream or share swapped video, make it clear to the people watching that it is AI-generated. You alone are responsible for how you use the output.

Other things you must not do

• Get around credits, rate limits or other technical limits.
• Scrape the site, overload it, probe it for weaknesses or try to reach data that isn't yours.
• Resell the service or build a product on it without our written permission.

Our content

The site's design, text, logo and ready-made reference faces belong to us or our licensors. Don't copy them without permission.

Suspension and ending access

We may change, pause or stop any part of the site at any time. If you break these terms — especially the rules about other people's faces — we may end your session and close your account without notice, and report serious misuse to the authorities.

No guarantees

The site is provided "as is" and "as available". We don't promise it will always be up, free of errors or lag, or that a swap will suit your purpose.

Our liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses such as lost profits, data or opportunities. Our total liability for any claim connected with the site is capped at what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or USD 50, whichever is higher. Nothing here takes away rights that the law where you live gives you and that cannot be waived.

Changes to these terms

When these terms change, the date at the top changes with them. Using the site after that means you accept the new version.
