What a live face swap does
AI redraws your camera view with another face while you move.
A live face swap puts a face you choose on your own head, as you talk and turn, instead of editing a photo or a finished video.
Here you give it two things: your camera and one reference face, a clear front-facing photo. The swapped video plays beside your camera in the page, about half a second behind you. It keeps following your head and expressions until you press Stop.
It works on the live camera only. It does not swap faces in photos or recorded clips. The result is AI output, so check how it looks before you share it.
Made for
- Creators trying a character
- Video makers
- Teachers showing AI face swaps
- Friends playing around
- Anyone curious about real-time AI
How to start a live face swap
Three steps from a reference photo to a swapped picture.
- 1
Add a reference face
Upload a JPG, PNG or WebP up to 10 MB with one clear, front-facing face. You can upload several and pick the one to wear.
- 2
Open your camera and press Start Face Swap
Sign in, allow the camera and start. The first swapped picture usually appears in about 7 to 12 seconds in our runs.
- 3
Watch, switch or stop
Pick another uploaded face mid-session and the new one shows in about 4 to 6 seconds. Press Stop when you are done. One session lasts up to 30 minutes.
Why use this real time AI face swap
Nothing to install
It runs in your browser tab. No app, no GPU setup, no plug-in. Keep the tab in front, because browsers slow down background tabs.
A live face swap about half a second behind
In our runs the swapped video trailed the camera by about 0.5 seconds, close enough to talk to your own screen.
Change faces without restarting
Choose another uploaded face while the swap runs. The new face took about 4 to 6 seconds to appear when we tried it.
Pay only for seconds that run
One credit is one second of live swap. A 17-second test charged 17 credits, and a session that never shows a picture within 20 seconds is not charged.
Your video is not kept by us
Your camera video is never recorded or saved by us, and your reference photo goes straight to the face-swap model, never to our servers. The swapped video comes straight back to your browser, and no other user can see it.
Clear about what it is not
No virtual camera, no recording and no download button. Use your own face or one you have permission to use, and tell viewers it is AI.
What people use a live face swap for
Screen-recorded skits
Record your own screen while you act. The swap shows only in the page, so recording the window is how you keep a clip.
Trying a character
See a reference face move with your expressions before you plan a costume, a shoot or an avatar look.
AI face swap awareness demos
Show a class or a team how easily a live face swap can replace a face, then discuss how to spot it.
Tutorials and explainers
Put a mascot or illustrated face on a presenter for a short walkthrough, with the AI label on screen.
Fun with friends
Swap in a friend's face, with their permission, and laugh at the result together.
Testing a look on motion
A still photo hides how a face behaves when you turn and talk. Live output shows it.
